I explain the basic difference between what I call Smooth Learning Journeys and journeys that are more like Washing Machines:

A lot of our frustration is created by our expectation of how things SHOULD be. If it's always worked in a certain way, then we expect that it should KEEP working that way. The challenge is that as we move into higher levels, things WILL change, and so we need to change too, and our learning will change.
