When we struggle, when we reach that point where we're looking at 'something' we don't think we can do, something we've tried to do and failed at, something that is taking FOREVER to learn... we need resilience.
A growth mindset helps with resilience:
Take-aways
Without resilience... here are some practical implications:
We look at struggles worrying that we'll NEVER get past it. We don't actually know if we CAN do this
We'll have much higher levels of anxiety
We will probably struggle to pick ourselves up and keep going
We don't really try find solutions. We may blame other people, our own intelligence
We can become weaker, not stronger
My point? Our mindsets are pervasive to the decisions we make on a daily basis.
It's absolutely worth improving your mindset.
